Physical Performance

I have a background in dance, and love to move! I adore performance jobs that present physical challenges.

In Tim Burton’s movie “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” I was hired as an actress to play the role of Miss Edwards, however also performed all my own stunts. This included wire, harness and at height work, under the direction of Stunt Co-ordinator Rowley Irlam. 

In the course of my professional career I have:

• performed on a rope rigged to a floating hot air balloon

• spun at height in various different harnesses and pieces of equipment

• walked on stilts

• performed inside whole body puppets and costumes

• even acted underwater!

I was engaged to work in ‘Toruk: The First Flight’ by Cirque du Soleil 2015 to 2019, joining the project from the start of Creation as a puppeteer.

Throughout my four years on the show, my role evolved to encompass becoming Puppetry Captain and later the Artist Coach for Puppetry, aerialist (harness and corde lisse), and character actor (as primary back-up to the lead role of The Shaman).

I have been working consistently in Performance and Motion Capture since 2019.

This reel was made following my first (still unreleased and under NDA) work in a video game.

Since then I have worked on a further AAA game,’Forspoken’, as well as delivering Motion Capture for the Jim Henson Company for their hit Netflix show 'Word Party'.

I am a professional aerial circus artist, specializing in aerial rope, and with additional skills on aerial silks, hoop and trapeze. I have performed aerial rope for Cirque du Soleil, as well as in collaboration with Zu Aerial Theatre.

I have also performed my own acts for numerous corporate and private events, and in the infamous Glastonbury Big Top.

Puppetry has been a major part of my career as a professional performer since 2002, when I began to incorporate it into the work I was creating for national and international street theatre festivals.

Since then, I have gone on to collaborate with some of the most influential puppetry companies, directors and designers, and in 2017 became the Artist-Coach for puppetry on Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Toruk’.

I have been exploring the ‘dark art’ of ventriloquism since 2019, and together with my ever-so-opinionated vent doll, Carol, produced the short film ‘Carol and Me, Makes 3’ in 2022.

Carol and I are set to appear in another short film (coming soon), and are currently making some new work so watch this space!
